Plougasnou is located in the Finistère, 20 km to the north from Morlaix at the point of a peninsula and consists of several local parts. There's a church from the 16th century, a port as well as several beaches. Usually it concerns sand beaches, which drop flat in the sea, so that they are ideal for children and surfer. A sail school, diving school, riding possibilities and an indoor tennis court make the sport offer complete.
Plougasnou is located in one of the most beautiful landscape areas of Brittany, with a strongly arranged coast and many bays with bathing and walking possibilities. This region was already in the antiquity settled (grave hills of Bernenanez); many places with historical townscapes occupy this (Morlaix, Roscoff, pc. pole etc.).
In the place there is a larger shopping centre with supermarket, gas station, baker's shop, bank and pharmacy. Further business, post office, health center and tourist office are approximately around the church. A Hypermarché is in Morlaix at the arterial road direction Brest (exit Centre Hospitalier).
